New Jersey District Export Council
The New Jersey District Export Council is one of more than 50 District Export Councils or “DECs” throughout the United States. DECs are organizations of leaders from local business communities, appointed by successive Secretaries of Commerce since 1973, whose knowledge of international business provides a source of advice for local firms.
The New Jersey District Export Council is a private, non-profit organization, whose members are appointed for four year terms by the Secretary of Commerce, which brings together experienced international business people who provide support, advice, and assistance to New Jersey companies interested in entering into or expanding into international markets.

- New Jersey exports that strengthen individual companies, stimulate New York economic growth, and create jobs;
- New Jersey export promotion & expansion activities by working with the New York state U.S. Export Assistance Centers; and
- Programs & services to promote increased New Jersey agricultural and manufactured exports in the global marketplace.
