SUNY Maritime College is one of six state maritime academies in the United States. The historic 55 acre campus is located on the Throggs Neck peninsula in the Bronx, between the Long Island Sound and East River, 20 miles from mid-town Manhattan. The international transportation management program may be completed online or on campus and offers certificates in supply chain management and international ship chartering. The maritime and naval studies program blends courses in politics, naval tactics and the humanities. Both programs allow students to pursue the U.S. Coast Guard 3rd Mate’s license.
